Shihlin Taiwanese Street Snacks

It's another Malaysia foodies edition again. Today I would like to bring you guys to try something that mostly people will queue for very long just for it. Shihlin Taiwanese street snack selling not much things and their XXL crispy chicken is the most famous.

However, today I'm not going to talk about their crispy chicken or other things that they are selling but the one below which is their Handmade Oyster Mee Sua.

Handmade Oyster Mee Sua is made with a type of special stock comprising 5 core ingredients (it's a secret), brewed over a slow flame, form the soup base with the Chinese noodle called "mee sua". A generous amount of oyster and shredded chicken is added before serving.

This handmade oyster mee sua is best eaten when hot and served with coriander that you can see above and I find it taste more nicer if there is more in it.

  1. I think Shilin deteriorated a lot. Their traditional Taiwan style crispy chicken used to be as good as that in Taiwan. With the number of franchises growing in Singapore, the taste just gets worse. =( Such a pity.
